Remote notarization allows you to complete the signing portion of your document through a secure live video session, without meeting in person for the initial step.
This service is available for eligible documents in accordance with Connecticut law and is designed to provide a convenient option when in-person signing is not possible.
🧭 HOW IT WORKS
- Schedule Your Appointment
We’ll set a time for a live video session using Zoom or Microsoft Teams.
- Send Your Document
Email a copy of your unsigned document in advance for review.
- Join the Live Video Session
- Present valid, unexpired photo ID
- Confirm your understanding and willingness to sign
- Sign your document during the session while I witness via live video
- Provide the Original Document
After the session, the original signed document must be mailed or delivered to me.
- Notarization Completed
I complete the notarial certificate, sign, and apply my official stamp.
- Return of Documents
Your notarized document will be returned via mail or arranged pickup.
⚖️ IMPORTANT REQUIREMENTS
- The document must be signed during a live audio-video session
- The notary must be physically located in Connecticut at the time of notarization
- The original signed document must be provided to complete the notarization
- Not all documents qualify for remote notarization under Connecticut law

- Certain business and personal documents
🚫 DOCUMENTS THAT DO NOT QUALIFY
Under Connecticut law, remote notarization is not permitted for:
- Wills and codicils
- Trust documents
- Powers of attorney
- Health care directives
- Real estate closings and property conveyance documents
